    EAOP Pre-College Scholars

Created in 1976, the Early Academic Outreach Program (EAOP) primarily serves students who are the first in their family to go to college or who are considered socioeconomically disadvantaged.

EAOP connects UC Davis with K-12 schools and the community.  In the 2016-2017 academic year UC Davis EAOP worked with over 3,000 students in 32 schools. The program provides information about college entrance requirements, how to apply, what happens when you arrive and how to pay for a college education.

As the University of California’s (UC) premier outreach program, EAOP is represented on each of the 10 UC campuses.

EAOP is a free program! To join EAOP, you must:

  • Attend a school served by EAOP
  • Meet federal income guidelines or be the first in your family to attend college
  • Minimum GPA:
    • 8th Grade - 2.50
    • 9th Grade - 2.75
    • 10th Grade - 3.00
