EAOP's entrance examination service addresses test-taking skills. The service is designed for eighth through 12th grade participants. Students learn how to take college entrance exams, assess their strengths and weaknesses in academic disciplines and the importance of exams in the UC/CSU admission process. The structured layout orients students to the ACT and Scholastic Aptitude Tests (SAT I and SAT II).

Administrative preparation activities assist participants with the registration process, payment of fees, processing of fee waivers and arrangement of test-taking logistics.

Test preparation activities emphasize test-taking strategies and tips, familiarization of the test format, content-based services and extensive mock practice sessions.
